School Update 6/5/22

Dear Families,

From next week, please can all children enter school via the front door like we did pre COVID. This will mean that everyone can come into school together. You are more than welcome to drop your child off on the front yard instead of from behind the school wall/fence. At the end of the school day you can also pick up from the front yard. All that we ask is that you stand at the top of the yard near the fence or in front of the wall so that staff and children can see individual parents.

We have started to welcome parents back into school. We had the Class 5 residential meeting before Easter. Next week we have meetings for the parents of Class 1 and 2, at 2.45pm on Tuesday, to show them our new phonics and reading programmes. Over the coming weeks we will be inviting parents into school for class assemblies and for a celebration of work evening. We are also happy to have face-to-face discussions with you if you need to speak to us.

Staff are busy making plans for Queen Elizabeth's platinum jubilee celebrations. We have a whole school event planned for Thursday 26th May. Further details will follow, but we are hoping to have families join us in school to celebrate with us. We would like to have a picnic if the weather is kind to us or a coffee afternoon if the weather is not so good.

I have attached a copy of the enrichment activities that took place in school before the Easter holiday. Please take a look at the class pages on our website or our Facebook page to view some of the fantastic learning opportunities that are going on in school.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Robson
