Phased Re-opening June 15th 2020

Dear Families,

On Monday 15th June school will re-open to a very small number of Year 6 pupils. All families who have requested that their child return to school have been contacted and they have been provided with all of the documentation needed.

We will not be re-opening to wider year groups this academic year but we will continue to offer places to Key Worker families where we can. We have a small school, with small classrooms and a small staff team. All requests for places have been met to date. However, we will only be able to offer places where we have room in a 'bubble' and staff available to meet the need on a particular day.

Governors will continue to meet every week to review our risk assessment. It is essential that the families of children who are returning to school read the 'Information for Families' document and follow all of the points set out in our plan. The home/school agreement will also have to be signed. This is to protect the health, safety and well-being of everyone in our school family.

Please continue to contact us via email if you need us. Emails will be answered as quickly as possible but as all staff will be timetabled  to work in bubbles in school  we will not be able to respond as quickly as we have been.

Many of you are beginning to ask about our plans for September.

We do not have any guidance yet but we have started discussions with our governors and staff team. When we have more information we will communicate it to you in the usual way.

We have been in touch with all families who have a little one due to start with us in  Reception Class.

We are also very aware that our wonderful Year 6 children are due to leave us in July. Hoodies and leaving gifts have been ordered (some have arrived in school). We will be in touch very soon to let you know how we are going to get these gifts to you all. Once we know more about the lifting of restrictions we will

plan a time to celebrate with Year 6 and give them a happy send off from St Mary's.

Take care and keep safe,

Mrs Robson
